Kauai Humane Society

While on holiday in Hawaii, we thought we would take some time to visit Kauai's Humane Society. We had a blast volunteering in some great weather!

Adopting "Bear" for the day

The Kauai Humane Society has an amazing program that allows you to adopt a dog for a day for a donation. We thought this was so smart, it not only brings in money but the volunteers take care of the animal while giving the animal great exposure to find an adoptive family. We took "Bear" on a hike near the beach and were approached by so many people asking about adoption. We'd love to see the program extended to cats, but we'll take this sweet pup any day!
